Should we wash our hands even when we’re wearing gloves?

In a recently published article, Kampf and Lemmen discussed the importance of disinfecting gloved hands. The authors explained when gloves should be changed, when they should be cleaned and when they should not be worn. Finally, they concluded that disinfecting gloves when performing several activities on the same patient or during the entirety of care could reduce the risk of transmission. (Kampf & Lemmen 2017)
