45 People Have Contracted Salmonella From Eggs In 2019

Public Health England have revealed that 45 people have been infected with Salmonella from British Eggs this year - there have been no related deaths. There have been 100 similar cases over the last 3 years. The Food Standards Agency has commented that the “The risk of salmonella is now so low you needn’t worry. It’s only people on strictly medically supervised diets who need to avoid those eggs.”.
